Streaks and badges fade after a week. Commitment contracts work, because losing money hurts about twice as much as winning it pleases. But the services that run them keep your forfeit, so they gain when you fail. PledgeX removes that conflict: the escrow is a program, and missed days are destroyed.

Every step is a real Solana transaction with an Explorer link in the app.
Lock a stake
Choose a habit, a number of days and a stake. create_commitment moves it into a vault owned by the PledgeX program.
One tap a day
Keep the habit and tap Check in. A key on your phone signs check_in, so there is no wallet screen. It can check in and nothing else.
Kept days back, missed days burned
After the last day, settle returns the days you kept and destroys the rest with SPL burn. Both accounts close and their rent comes back to you.
Three habits the program enforces
The program refuses a check-in outside the day's window, below the goal, over the limit, twice in one day, or from any other key.

Badges you can't buy, sell or fake
Each badge is a Token-2022 NFT minted by the program itself: non-transferable, supply 1, no mint authority left. It shows in Phantom. Badges and leaderboard rank come only from real pledges (days of an hour or more), so a demo can't farm them.

The whole life of a pledge in six minutes
Demo pledges use 2-minute days, so a 3-day pledge runs from lock to settle while you watch. The Judge Lab in the app's header walks you through it.
- Install the APK from the latest release. Tap Use a demo wallet, or Connect wallet with Phantom in Testnet Mode (Settings → Developer Settings).
- Open Judge Lab. Tap Get devnet SOL, then Get 10,000 test SKR, which the program's own faucet mints.
- Tap Lock demo pledge: 3,000 steps a day, 1,000 test SKR, three 2-minute days.
- On day 1, walk, or tap +1,000 simulated steps (demo only, labelled). Then Check in. No wallet screen appears, because the phone's session key signs.
- Let day 2 pass and check in on day 3. Then tap Settle & claim: two thirds come back and one third burns. Open Vault and Ranks.
What lives on Solana
An Anchor 0.32 program on devnet. The end-to-end test runs a full pledge of each habit against the live program, including every refusal.

What protects your stake
- The vault is a program account. No team key can withdraw it.
- The phone's session key can only call
check_in. - Anyone may settle, but the refund only ever goes to the owner.
- Burned tokens go to nobody. There is no protocol fee.
- The upgrade authority is held offline. A leaked development key was stripped of every authority before launch.
What the program cannot check
- Steps and screen time are reported by the phone. The program checks who clocks in, when and how often, not the number itself.
- Only the 6 AM Club is verified entirely on chain.
- Devnet only. Test SKR has no value and is not the real SKR token.

Questions
Is this real money?
No. PledgeX runs on Solana devnet with a test token. The mechanics are real: real transactions, a real escrow and a real burn. The value is not.
Why burn the missed days instead of giving them to someone?
If anyone received missed stakes, that someone would gain from your failure, whether the app, other users or a charity you didn't choose. Burning keeps the only incentive yours: keep the day.
Can PledgeX take or freeze my stake?
No. The stake sits in a vault owned by the program. The only ways out are the refund to you and the burn, both decided by the rules you saw before signing.
What if I lose my phone?
The session key on the phone can only check in. It cannot move your stake. After the last day anyone can settle, and the kept days always go to your wallet.
Why not verify steps on chain?
A chain cannot see your legs. Steps and screen time come from the phone, and we say so. The 6 AM Club is the one habit the chain checks by itself, by its own clock.
